Foundation 1: Coaching
Course Duration: 5 days, Monday to Friday
Eligibility/Qualifications: Must have a background in muay thai or similar martial arts no less than 2 years. Preferred to have fighting experience.
Description: A foundation course for muaythai coaching with an introduction to muay boran which explains the technicalities and basic origins of muay thai.
In this course you will learn how to teach and to prepare a fighter, physically and mentally before a fight.
Course content

Warm-up & Stretching

Basic understanding of body biomechanics

Psychology: Structure of command, discipline, control, support, confidence and team building.

Cool-down.

Basics in: Guarding, movements, standing and stepping.
Uses of weapons: fists, elbows, knees, feet. (Punch, elbow, knees and kicks)
Target Areas: Anatomy (for Attacks)
Defense: Blocking, cover, parry, duck, evasion.
Use of equipment
How to hold training pads, use of kicking bag
Knowledge of competition rules
Amateur & professional
Preparation of fighters
Nutrition / weight control / massage /corner man duties / coaching / mental preparation.
Examination: You will be examined throughout the course as you progress in the gym training students + if given the opportunity help to prepare and corner the gym fighters before they fight.
After passing the course: Presentation of coaching course certificate

KRU MUAYTHAI BORAN COURSE
Assistant Kru/Coaching: Khan 11
Red and White Mongkol
Course Duration: 5 Days
Eligible/Pre-requisites: Must have a background in training or fighting experience no less than 2 years.

Knowledge of the history of Muay Thai

Duties and responsibilities of the kru (teacher)

Basic principles and knowledge of all techniques (luk-mai, mae-mai, etc.)

KRU MUAYTHAI BORAN COURSE
Kru: Red and yellow mongkon – Khan 12
Course Duration: 5 Days
Eligible/Pre-requisites:

Must have passed the course or seminar in muay thai boran

and/or Coaching course (Khan 11) (No less than 3 month before passing the previous khan)

Must have passed the examination under K.M.A and has been recommended by his kru (teacher) or proof of his/her past records and credential.

Description: Placing the muay boran movements together with all terminology in Thai language. Learn how to teach, assess and examine ones own students no more than two khan levels below themselves
Day 1 (2×2Hour/day)
Introduction: Welcome to all participants, explanation about the course, duties and responsibilities.
Basic Principles:
Class or individual control and frame work
Basics of warm up and stretching
Basics of stance, guarding, place and position
Basics of movement, steps (seuab, sear yang, mah yong)
Basic punches.
Cool down
Day 2 (2×2Hour/day)
Review of day 1: Basics; stance, movement and guarding.
Basics of all the punches (what, why, when, how)
(Matd-trong, suay, tawad, kwang, etc.)
Basics in use of elbow
(Soak tee, tad, ngad, pung, kratung, krub, sub, kho)
Day 3 (2×2Hour/day)
Review of day 1-2
The basic use of knees
(khao trong, cheeng, tad, tee, lah, loy)
Wai Kru part 1
Day 4 (2x2Hour/day)
Review of day 1-2-3-
The basic use of foot; front, round kicks
(Teep trong, teep khang, teep krab lang )
(Dtae trong, dtae cheng, dtad, tawad)
Wai Kru part 2
Day 5 (2×2Hour/day)
Review of all basics
Defense techniques; phong, phat, pid, pert.
Knowledge of how to hold Thai pads, focus mitts and use of training
equipments.
Learn complete wai kru, movements.
Day 6 (2×2Hour/day)
Learn how to teach, examine, assessment.
Examination and presentation of learning.
Presentation certificate to the successful applicants.
