Honoree of the 2025 National Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion and Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage

The Ministry of Culture, through the Department of Cultural Promotion, held the 2025 Intangible Cultural Heritage Recognition Ceremony on 12 September 2025 at Royal Park Plaza, Paradise Park Shopping Center, Srinakarin Road.
Mr. Prasop Rieang-ngern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, presided over the ceremony, joined by senior officials and representatives from both the public and private sectors.

This annual recognition, in accordance with Section 10 (12) of the Act on the Promotion and Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage, honors individuals and organizations who have devoted themselves to the promotion, conservation, transmission, revitalization, and development of Thailand’s intangible cultural heritage, ensuring its continuity for future generations.

A Legacy Worthy of Honor
This year, Mr. Chinawut Sirisamphan, President of the Thai Boxing Teachers Association, was recognized in the category of Traditional Folk Games, Indigenous Sports, and Martial Arts. His work reflects a vital role in preserving and promoting the heritage of Muay Thai, Thailand’s traditional martial art.

He has consistently organized events, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities, building networks to sustain Muay Thai practices and promoting them to an international audience. His dedication not only safeguards this priceless heritage but also serves as an inspiration for the youth and the Thai community to value and protect the nation’s cultural roots for generations to come.
